Industrial Estate employees protest in Sopore over power crises | KNO

Sopore, July 12 (KNO): Scores of employees of Industrial Estate in Sopore town of north Kashmir Baramulla district on Wednesday held a protest over power crises, stating that they suffered huge losses. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Industrial Estates President Sopore Javed Bhat said that they are facing huge losses due to power crises which are persistent for the last two months. "On an average, industry suffers around 2-3 Crores losses per day. In the absence of power supply, we are now thinking to shift the sector to Jammu,” he added. The protestors warned of massive agitation if their demand is not met and urged the administration to intervene into the matter. Notably, power crisis have gripped the town at a time when government is installing smart meters in the area—(KNO)
